July 4th Parade – Smithville, Tx

Led by Minnie Pearl and Britanie Olvera, a cute, open Model T, the Road Relics will participate in the Smithville, TX Independence Day Parade on 7/4/2025.  This is a great opportunity to drive your pre-30’s 10mph cars.  The parade is also followed by a slew of community events.

If you are looking for a SMALLER – Down home #smalltownUSA parade without all the traffic and fuss. Come join us in SMITHVILLE TEXAS !   Organizers are seeking Antique and Classic cars to ROLL down MAIN street during the  ( early am parade) !

 

PATRIOTIC PARADE    (* assume check in 930-10 ish)  PARADE STARTS   1030am

    • Patriotic Bicycles
    • Patriotic Golf Cars
    • Classic  & Antique Cars  ( needed)- decorated ideal but not mandatory !
    • Floats
  • Once you REGISTER someone will be in touch with info on  CHECKING IN – LINE UP and where to be – ready to ROLL down MAINT STREET !

 

Day and night long festivities at the VFW hall, including BINGO  ( inside the  AC !)  live music and dancing- food and water slide for kids. And LIVE FIRE WORKS SHOW !    Come for PARADE or stay all day !  Fireworks at night…..  SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE !

10:30 am Parade on Main Street featuring floats, golf carts, vintage cars, and local neighbors on their patriotic bicycles

11:00 am Stroll Downtown Smithville and enjoy local specials for lunch, brunch, and shopping

3:00 pm Family Friendly Activities at the VFW including Water Slides, Cornhole Tournament, Face Painting, and Local Vendors. Get ready for a festive lineup of local favorites at the Smithville VFW! Treat yourself to funnel cakes, fried Oreos, fresh frescas in every flavor, and corn on the cob — all brought to you by Irene. Don’t forget to stop by the Premier Jewelry booth by Carla Culberson for some sparkle and style. It’s the perfect mix of delicious eats and unique finds to make your 4th of July celebration complete!

3:30-5:30 pm Family Friendly BINGO inside the VFW Hall

5:30-7:00 pm FREE Hot Dog Meal includes hot dogs, chips, drinks sponsored by the VFW, and an old-fashioned Cake, Pie, and Cobbler Walk. Beer and Wine are available for purchase.

7:15 pm Reading of the Preamble and The Declaration of Independence by Local School Children

7:30-9:00 pm Musical Entertainment and Dancing at the outdoor patio and stage

9:00 pm Fireworks Show sponsored by State Representative Stan Gerdes (District 17). Join us for an unforgettable night of patriotic fun, community spirit, and a spectacular fireworks show — all thanks to Rep. Gerdes!
